After more than 25 successful years as the nation’s most widely toured professional ballet company, Canada’s Ballet Jörgen creates a new production of this classic story ballet for the 2015/16 season. Choreographed by Bengt Jörgen and set to the beloved Tchaikovsky music, Sleeping Beauty is a grand tale of the power of pure love, of good triumphing over evil, of the terrible and beautiful force of nature. This newest addition to the Ballet Jörgen repertoire is a gorgeous re-telling of the timeless fairy tale of Aurora, awakened from her spell-bound sleep by a magical kiss.
